Product Associate 

All-around player: Seeking a product associate with skills in processes and organization, great communication/writing, curation of video content, and understanding users’ emotional needs (psychology).

Blue Fever is a text message and app product developing AI models to predict what media a user needs based on their emotions. Currently, our user base is largely teen women and this product associate will need to be able to understand this demographic well.

Responsibilities

  • Helping to establish and keep the user experience consistent across the product

  • Writing messages that our bot “Blue” responds to users with (clear written communication skills, understanding the big sister-like voice of “Blue” and Blue Fever, a touch of fun/creativity)

  • Establishing and maintaining the processes of ongoing product releases (organization and execution)

  • Working with a small team to be collaborative and divvy up work

  • Documenting all aspects of the product weekly

  • Identifying and curating the videos, advice vlogs, short series, podcasts and more that “Blue” recommends

  • User interviews/testing - should enjoy talking with and trying to understand the users or consumers of the product you’re building

  • Be okay “doing what it takes” to complete a goal, no matter how big or small the tasks are

We’re building an empathetic AI who messages with teens to curate the Internet, like a big sister. Google gave us topical relevance with SEO, but “Blue” recommends based on emotional needs in that moment.

Blue Fever is a text message-based product that will ultimately develop AI models to predict what media a user needs based on their current mood and emotions.  Through our private, conversational UI, we have been able to gather unprecedented information from our users that allows us to serve them exactly the right thing, in the moment of greatest need.

About You

  • Not afraid to jump in with two feet and try new things

  • Familiarity with Gen Z/millennial audiences

  • Open to listening to all types people’s points of view and ways of thinking

  • Has presentation skills

  • Be comfortable dealing with and helping with the emotions of others

  • 2 years experience in the workforce

  • Thinks outside the box - likes to be creative

  • Must be a people person who loves to write and message with people

  • Have an interest in the way tech can positively impact lives

  • An interest in startups or experience in startups

  • BONUS: minor coding ability a plus

You’ll work on all different types of products and need to solve both immediate problems and long-term problems. So be flexible and ready to try new things.
